START HERE · THREE PERSPECTIVES

The Evansphere follows the Evans family and the people whose work keeps their communities alive. You can use this companion before reading, alongside a chapter, or to find a name you have forgotten.

Where to begin

[edit | edit source]

Start with John Evans: 39 Minutes for the opening introduction to the Evansphere. John’s journey connects Mars and Earth through engineering, reclamation and questions of trust.

Continue with Paul Evans: The Divide for an earlier view of family life and the work of keeping Mars warm. Caitlyn Evans: The Two-Body Problem shifts the centre to Caitlyn’s agricultural expertise and the boundary between protection and control.

Publication sequence and story time

[edit | edit source]

The three books covered here were introduced in the order John, Paul, Caitlyn. Their settings in story time run Paul, Caitlyn, John. Paul’s story takes place fifteen years before John’s; Caitlyn’s sits between them, with John and Jennifer in their teens.

This is orientation, not a detailed timeline. Following the publication sequence lets the later books add context to people you have already met. The wiki does not reconcile every character’s perspective into one definitive account.

What this companion reveals

[edit | edit source]

Entries cover introductions, settings, working roles and broad themes. Official back cover descriptions appear in full on the book pages and disclose their advertised premises. Shared character pages show appearances in all three covered books, so they can reveal that a person appears in another story.

Investigative findings, resolutions, hidden allegiances and unpublished developments are outside the introductory guide. Homepage excerpts are selected for atmosphere, ordinary work and character voice, rather than the outcomes of scenes. For the strictest reading experience, begin with the novel itself.

Follow your curiosity

[edit | edit source]

Explore offers reading paths by interest and unexpected introductory details. Field Hunt turns six ordinary details into a self-guided reader activity, with optional progress saved on your browser.
