Evansphere

The Evansphere is the setting of John Evans: 39 Minutes, a science-fiction mystery by Chris Simmons. This wiki covers the world as it appears in that book.

Two connected worlds

A century after John’s grandparents fled Earth, their descendants prepare to return. Mars has built a contained life around interdependent systems; Earth’s essential services are divided between fragile institutions and powerful corporations.

The work of survival

The story begins with everyday work: air exchange, irrigation, maintenance records, and clocks. A small timing error becomes a way to examine much larger questions about evidence, responsibility, and who controls repair.
