Marta Anders works a family plot at the edge of the Olympus Prime agricultural extension.
Role in the story
[edit | edit source]She grows greens and herbs with her sons Tomas and Ren and with Tomas’s wife Alina. Their work supplies both the cooperative and their own table. Knowing the plants is part of knowing the household that depends on them.

Food at household scale
[edit | edit source]The family plot makes a large agricultural system personal. Work contributes to a cooperative supply and to the household’s own meals, so the same growing space belongs to both community life and family life.
Marta’s introduction offers a different viewpoint from the extension’s laboratories or council chamber. The supporting cast guide identifies her family members without recounting what happens to them.
